Raise congregational awareness to special needs through the use of this prose with a group.

Read three times. The leader asks participants to place his or her name in the blank the first time as the prose is read aloud. Read again with instructions to place the name of a person with a special need (disability) in the blank.  Read a third time placing the name of another person with a special need in the blank.

Note: It is revealing if you do not know the name of a person with a special need. It is also revealing to know that persons with special needs grow and change and learn and develop spiritually. They are, indeed, becoming.
