Mentor Parent Letter

A mentor who can help a child with a disability in the classroom is part of the teaching team. This letter or card presentation can help a mentor relate to the parents and help them feel confident that their child is in good hands. Nothing beats actual conversation with parents, but on a Sunday morning amid the crowd of check-in, it is not always possible to have that conversation.

There is an option for your child to go to Sunshine Room (or an optional sensory room or a room with different learning practices), an environment for children who are fragile or are overstimulated by the typical classroom. It is in the Circle of Friends suite of rooms near the chapel (or the location of your room). If you are interested, please discuss this option with your child’s team teacher or administrator.
